Pika, an Alaskan Malamute, was born in 2016. Her story is very sad: she lived in a home with her owner and her husband. One day the husband violently killed his wife and wanted to get rid of Pika, so he first threw her out of a window. Pika was unharmed, so the man decided to lock her inside the house with the woman’s body and set the house on fire. Police, firefighters, and security personnel intervened. The man was arrested, and Pika ended up in the municipal pound.
